Video Transcript:

1. Add Related Products
Related products are items that customers might also be interested in purchasing. As you’ll see in this example, someone that was interested in purchasing a sweatshirt might also be interested in one of these t-shirts that are also for sale.

2. Create opt-in forms that offer exclusive discounts
Use pop-up forms on your site to offer exclusive discounts to people that sign up for your email list. This is a great way to connect with your customers and keep them coming back in the future.

3. Categorize Your Products
Categorizing your products makes it easier for people to find what they are looking for and shows off all of the items you sell in a particular category. As you’ll see in this example, the products sold on this website are split into 2 categories – Signature Collection and Accessories. Selecting one category then brings up different styles of handbags to choose from. If I select one style, I can see all the options available in that particular style category.

4. Use Coupon Codes
Everyone loves a discount! Allow customers to enter a coupon code at checkout to receive a discount on their order. Coupons can be used for things like free shipping, percentage discounts, or discounts on specific products. They are also great to send to your email list as an exclusive offer.

5. Add an Abandoned Cart Feature
Did you know that an average of 69% of online shopping carts are abandoned? Adding an abandoned cart feature to your site can help get some of those customers back. Set up your site so that if someone abandons their cart, they get an email reminding them to finish their order. Give them an extra incentive by adding a coupon code in the email. Around 45% of cart abandonment emails are opened, so this is a great way to increase sales.
