Mark: Hi, I’m Mark.

Barbara: And I’m Barbara.

Mark: And we’re Wicky Design.

Barbara: And today, we’re going to answer the question, “Will my website be affected while you’re working on my new one?”

So if you have a website currently and we’re working on building and redesigning a new website for you, is that website going to be down?

Mark: The answer, no. We always develop on a testing server, so if you have an existing website, we’ll develop on a totally different server and you won’t experience any downtime while we’re developing the new website.

Barbara: Right. So that means that people will still be able to go to your URL, visit your old website, get in touch with you while we are building the new one. There’s going to be no downtime. You don’t have to worry about losing customers during the time we’re redesigning your website.

Mark: Yeah, and once we are done with the website, then we will do the switch with all the backend geeky stuff. I do that part. And in most cases, it’s minimum downtime. We can do it after hours so there’s not an issue there. We won’t ever do it in the middle of a peak time or anything like that.

Barbara: So you don’t have to be worried about being down for weeks or a month and losing any business while we are redesigning your site. Everythign will stay up to date, online and customers will still be able to you. I think that’s a really important thing when it comes to web design. You want as little downtime as possible. So we try to make that happen and we do that by building everything on a testing server.

You get to look at your website that we built for you, play around with it, make sure that everything looks good. And we only launch when you are 100% ready to go.

Mark: Yep

Barbara: That’s the answer to today’s question. Come back tomorrow for another one, Make sure you hit like and subscribe and ring that bell to receive notifications whenever we post a new video. Bye!

Mark: Bye!
