Stop! Your Business Doesn’t Need Every Social Platform

April 15, 2016

I’m going to tell you something that a lot of people might freak out over.

Your business doesn’t need a Facebook page.

It might not need a Twitter, Pinterest or YouTube channel either.

Freaking out yet? It’s understandable. Everyone has been telling you that your business needs to be on every social network and you have accounts set up all over the place.

Am I right?

Am I also right to assume that you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed by all this social media stuff?

The truth is, you don’t need to be on every social network in order for your business to be successful. Here’s why.

Your Audience Isn’t On Every Social Network

Getting in front of your audience is key to any type of marketing. In order to be successful, you need to figure out where your audience is hanging out. If you have more success on Twitter than Facebook, stop wasting time on Facebook. Stick with the social networks that work best for you.

Time

Social media management takes time. Sure, there are a lot of tools that can help with time management, but at the end of the day, you want your efforts to be effective. Being really good at one platform is better than being mediocre at all of them. Use your time wisely.

Costs

If you’ve hired someone to manage your social media, you want to make sure he/she is producing results. Stick to what works and where your audience is so you’ll get more bang for your buck.

When it comes to marketing, getting in front of your audience is key. Stop wasting time trying to do everything and start focusing on where your customers are at. You’ll save time, money and get better results!

Where do your customers hang out? What social networks are working for you?
