How To Design Perfect Service Pages

May 8, 2017

If you have a service based business, one of the most important parts of your website is describing what you do. Your visitors should have a clear description of your services, so they know immediately if you can help them or not.

What goes into making good service pages? Like anything, it depends on the type of business you are running, but there are a few things you can do to help make your service pages better so you can book more clients.

How to design perfect service pages to book more clients.

1. Describe Your Services

This seems like an obvious tip, but far too often, we see websites that use copy geared toward themselves and not their audience. If descriptions are too technical, wordy or filled with “fluff” language, your visitors won’t be sure if you can deliver. Be clear, concise and descriptive, so visitors know immediately what you offer. Consider getting an outsider’s perspective to make sure your pages are easy to understand.

2. Give People A Reason to Call You

A clear explanation of your services is great, but what makes you different from everyone else? Let people know why they should call you over your competitors by explaining your process, showing examples of your work or featuring testimonials from your customers. These additions will help you establish credibility and trust.

3. Have A Clear Call To Action

A clear call to action let’s your visitors know what they should do next. This really should be on every page on your site, but especially the service pages. Determine what it is you want your customers to do (call? email? fill out a form?) and make sure your visitors can easily find it.

4. Include Pricing

We are saving this one for last, as it doesn’t always apply to every business. While in the process of rebranding, we went back and forth on whether or not to include pricing for our services, but ultimately decided it was a good idea to at least have a guide.

Are your service pages working for you or is it time for a refresh?
